we all return to . . .

Aya Bram

Aya Bram is a poet and artist. They received their Master’s of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and Poetics at the University of Washington – Bothell in 2019. Since completing their degree, Aya has done readings around Seattle, been published in online literary journals and a forthcoming anthology, and has worked as the book and layout designer for the literary journal, Snail Trail Press.

Aya’s writing style is poetic through its fibers. They love the process of editing — the dynamic of selecting the exact right word to convey complex emotional movement. They love ephemera. They love the atomic imprints left behind by all people on this earth. They love the language of dying and grief. They love this because they believe that language has the power to mend and heal.

Currently Aya is working and living on the unceded lands of Duwamish and Coast Salish peoples, in the city known as Seattle, Washington. They live with their companion and best creature friend, Pippin the dog. Their focus for clients for now are those who live nearby, but they will take on distant clients virtually, especially folks living in rural areas.
